Brinkmann Hardware
Brinkmann's Blue Point

History

When Tony Brinkmann and his wife Pat opened the first Brinkmann’s hardware store in Sayville in 1976 there were 2 other hardware stores in town. Their devotion to cornering the market on selection and service helped them stand out above the rest. The store was 2,000 square feet, chock full of hardware essentials and building materials, and located in a strip mall on Main Street. One year later their success made them able to join the True Value co-op and they began to stock Benjamin Moore Paint. Their achievements came from carrying top brands and listening to customers. Tony and Pat made an effort to stay in tune with the community’s needs and molded their inventory to meet local demand. Tony and Pat’s dedication to customer service has stood the test of time. Four decades and 5 new stores later Brinkmann’s still has their focus on their community and neighbors. Now, led by Pat and Tony’s children—Mary, Ben, and Hank—Brinkmann’s looks to reach even more communities with the same level of quality and service that has been the cornerstone of Brinkmann’s since its inception.

You’re More Than Our Customer. You’re Our Neighbor

In a world of big box hardware stores Brinkmann’s offers customers an alternative: a local D.I.Y. center that provides competitively priced, top brand products, along with personable and helpful customer support so often missing from the mega-store home improvement chains.
